SNAI 2026 invites proposals for half-day and full-day workshops to be held on Sunday 6 December 2026, the day before the main conference. Workshops should explore focused, emerging, or controversial topics at the intersection of networking and artificial intelligence.

Proposal contents

Proposals should be submitted as a single PDF of at most 4 pages and contain the following sections.

1. Title and abstract — a 150-word summary suitable for the conference website.
2. Topic and motivation — why this workshop is timely; how it complements the main conference and existing venues; what new conversation it will start.
3. Format — half-day or full-day, paper sessions, invited talks, panels, hands-on sessions, or a mix. Number of papers/talks expected.
4. Target audience — expected size and seniority (PhD students, researchers, practitioners).
5. Organisers — name, affiliation, contact email, and a one-paragraph bio for each organiser. At least two organisers from different institutions are strongly preferred.
6. Prior editions — if the workshop has run before, where and with what attendance; if it is new, an explanation of why the topic is ready for a workshop.
7. Keynote/invited speakers — speakers who have confirmed their participation, or a list of invitees with status.
8. Plan for proceedings — whether workshop papers will be submitted to the SNAI 2026 proceedings (open access via LiteConf) or to a separate repository. SNAI 2026 encourages open access.

Topics of interest

Workshops on any topic within the SNAI scope are welcome. Past editions have featured successful workshops on: learned congestion control, programmable data planes, federated learning under bandwidth constraints, evaluation methodology for networking/AI systems, and reproducibility of network measurements. New topics for 2026 are especially welcome.

What SNAI provides

• A lecture room at UPC Campus Nord, equipped with projector, screen, microphones, and Wi-Fi.
• Coffee breaks and lunch on the workshop day.
• Promotion of the workshop through the SNAI 2026 website and mailing list.
• Optional integration with the LiteConf submission system (organisers can use the platform for workshop paper management).
• Best workshop paper award consideration.

Responsibilities of the organisers

• Set the workshop's paper-submission and notification timeline, in coordination with the SNAI workshops chair.
• Recruit and manage the workshop program committee.
• Handle paper-review logistics, including via LiteConf if desired.
• Run the workshop on 6 December 2026 and submit a short report after the conference.
