Venue

SNAI 2026 is hosted at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) Campus Nord in Barcelona. The campus is located in the north-west of the city, well connected by metro and bus.

Address. Campus Nord, C/ Jordi Girona, 1–3, 08034 Barcelona, Spain. The main entrance is on Carrer de Jordi Girona; conference signage will direct attendees to the assigned lecture halls.

Getting to Barcelona

By air

Barcelona is served by Barcelona–El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport (BCN), 12 km south-west of the city. The airport is connected to the city centre by the Aerobus (35 min, €7.75), the RENFE R2 Nord train (25 min, €5.10), and the metro L9 Sud to a connecting line.

By train

Barcelona Sants station is the main hub for high-speed AVE services from Madrid (2.5 h), Paris (6.5 h), Lyon (5 h), Zurich (9 h), Milan (11 h), and other European cities. From Sants, the venue is 15 minutes by metro (L3 to Palau Reial, then a short walk).

From the airport to the venue

The most direct route from the airport to UPC Campus Nord is the L9 Sud metro to Collblanc, then the L5 to Maragall with a transfer to the L3 to Palau Reial. Total journey: approximately 55 minutes.

Accommodation

SNAI 2026 has secured discounted room blocks at three hotels near the venue. A booking link will be sent to registered attendees in October 2026. Barcelona offers a wide range of alternative accommodation; we recommend booking early, as December overlaps with holiday-season travel.

Visa invitation letters

Attendees who require a visa to enter Spain can request an invitation letter after completing registration. The letter will be issued by the General Chair. Please email [email protected] with the subject line "SNAI 2026 visa letter" and include:

  • Full name as it appears on your passport
  • Passport number and country of issue
  • Date of birth
  • Affiliation and role at the conference (author, speaker, attendee, PC member)
  • Paper ID (if applicable)

Please allow 7–10 working days for processing. The conference cannot intervene with consulates on behalf of attendees.

Accessibility

UPC Campus Nord is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps, lifts, and accessible restrooms on all floors used by the conference. Live captioning will be provided for all main-conference sessions. If you have specific accessibility needs (sign language interpretation, dietary requirements, accessible seating), please indicate them during registration or email [email protected] by 15 November 2026.
